Our Team
Misty Skelly
My passion is to see my clients’ design visions come to life.
Ever since I can remember, I have had an eye for color and creativity, detail and proportions. At 15 years of age, I started working in a design firm.
In my career of 27 years I have been blessed to have great mentors. A mentor is someone who will help carry your dreams until you are able to carry them yourself… and fly. Their investment in my life has helped me to be well-rounded in my profession. My expertise is demonstrated in the areas of design, space planning, furniture and art, model home merchandising, custom draperies and bedding, and flooring ( tile, wood and carpet). Projects I enjoy include new construction-meeting with clients, model home merchandising, interior design selections, and commercial.
I was born right here in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a design degree and a minor in business. Owning my own design business for over 17 years has given me the experience to know how to provide the quality service and products that my clients need. My passion for creativity and dedication to my clients is what drives me to excellence.
I enjoy entertaining my family and friends. Those who know me say I am a big kid at heart! I enjoy horses, gymnastics, painting, ceramics, being outdoors, walking and hiking. My time off includes eating at nice restaurants and drinking nice, flavorful wines. Traveling the world and enjoying a variety of architecture styles through out the world continues to inspire me.
God is my strength, peace, and comfort. I enjoy serving others in our community through volunteer work, respite care, hospice, church, and the Battered Women’s Shelter.

One of the aspects of design I enjoy is to be bold enough to create something different or unexpected for each client.
If you are paying for an interior designer, then one should see style at its finest. Pushing the envelope just enough is great to show that daring does not necessarily mean flashy.
Passion, creativity, style and design describe what I determined to be my objectives for a second career. As of 2003, I decided to attend college again and pursue interior design. I can truly say 13 years later, there are no regrets and each day is always an adventure!
Whether space planning, choosing paint colors, selecting furniture, art or accessories, or designing draperies, each project is unique and allows me to determine how a space should look. My ultimate goal is to make it happen whether designing one room or an entire home!
I find inspiration while traveling, especially when I visit my daughter on the West coast because of their “forward” thinking in all aspects of design. New tile designs or flooring surfaces can make such a difference if your client wants to be innovative! Also, I can truly say that my addiction to the website Houzz.com is an understatement. I do however enjoy seeing innovative ideas from all areas of the U.S. and then try to figure how that can translate to the South.
I truly enjoy exploring new cities, dining at fine restaurants, visiting art galleries, and shopping in boutiques. In fact, if someone is with me, they always have a slight grin on their face because it is obvious that I am in my own design world. Also, since I am a major movie watcher, I find myself analyzing the movie set and forgetting what I am watching! My other passion is all genres of music and there is ALWAYS something playing in my home. Itunes has become my best friend!
A thought to remember is that personal style is not about going out and buying the most expensive items, it is knowing how to arrange interesting pieces with inexpensive ones while still expressing your own personality.
